By registering or using any QuikHitch services, members consent to agree to all the privacy policies listed here.

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as

Registration

To access our Application, a Member will have to fill out personal and contact information during registration. This information is used for verification and to contact the Member for various aspects of the Service. We may send occasional promotional material to the Member using the provided information. Members seeking a ride will need to provide bank details.

While using our website we will store cookies on the user’s device. Cookies are a small block of data stored on the Member’s device generated by our web server for utilitarian purposes. These are for increasing performance, providing better user experience or help us provide better Service to the Member.

QuikHitch is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We will provide physical, electronic, cybersecurity and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain.

Service Updates

We will send out updates that we deem important to the Member regarding changes in our Services via provided email. These are important updates and Members cannot opt-out.

Third Party Access

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the us in improving the Application and their service. We may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

Payment Information

Credit card details collected from members will be shared with Stripe(third party service for payments). Direct deposit/Void cheque details will be shared with stripe as well for payouts. QuikHitch/Stripe may also use credit card/direct deposit info for Refunds wherever applicable. We will only store necessary information that is required to process transactions.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all information collection by the Application at any time by uninstalling it. To do so, simply use the standard uninstallation process available on your mobile device or through the mobile application marketplace or network.

Data Retention Policy

QuikHitch will retain Member provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable period thereafter. If you would like to request the deletion of User-Provided Data you have submitted through the Application, please contact us at support@quikhitch.com, and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Account Cancellation

At any point Members can cancel by contacting us at support@quikhitch.com. The account will be flagged for inactivation within a discretionary time period after which their account will be archived. Members are allowed to reinstate their accounts within that period.

Safety and Compliance with Law

QuikHitch will have to disclose your information to courts, law enforcement or government authorities, if and to the extent required by the law. These may be necessary in following circumstances:

• ● to comply with legal obligations and address claims made against QuikHitch
• ● to respond to verified requests related to criminal investigations, suspected illegal activities, or any actions that could expose us, you, or other Members to legal risks

We will notify Members about these requests unless prohibited by the legal process itself in the manner deemed appropriate by the authorities. If we are prohibited from reaching out by law, we will inform the Member once the process has ended and it is safe and legal to do so.

Changes in Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically without any notice. You are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy regularly, as continued use of the Application constitutes your acceptance of any changes.
